A traditional invocation offered before dance: salutations to the one whose every gesture is the universe, whose speech is all language, and whose adornment is the moon and stars.
Kuchipudi is one of India's major classical dance forms, originating in Andhra Pradesh and rooted in centuries of temple and dance-drama tradition. It brings together rhythm, storytelling, and expression, trained through years of disciplined practice.
At Sahasrara Kuchipudi, students learn this tradition under the guidance of Mrs. Ranjitha, with instruction offered at Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels for students of all ages.
An introduction to Kuchipudi fundamentals: posture, basic footwork, and the foundations of rhythm. Available for ages 6 and above, no prior experience is needed.
Building on foundational technique with more complex adavus (steps), expression (abhinaya), and short compositions.
Full-length items, refined technique, and performance preparation for dedicated students.
